LLC compared to an individual company

Opening the right company in line with your needs is definitely the most important and decisive step in the process of establishing your own business. The requirements for opening a LLC in different European and non-European countries do not differentiate much, but on the other side it is important to know that the establishment of an individual company differs from country to country. The process of establishing a single-member LLC, in all countries, is the same (only the initial share capital varies):

• the person must have a personal identification document,
• has to go to the notary and open a corporate current account on which to transfer the corporate capital. On the other hand, the prerequisites for opening an individual company vary significantly. For example, in Slovenia it is necessary to register the domicile, while in Croatia it is necessary to undertake and pass the Croatian language exam, impossible for most Europeans not knowing the language.
