Costs of living in Montenegro are lower compared to the rest of Europe. Despite having EURO as currency, this country is not a member of European Union. Stated below are some average prices for basic foodstuff and various other services:

Costs of living in Montenegro: average prices for services:

  • Bus from Tivat to Kotor (app. 12km): €2–3, from Tivat do Budva (app. 25km): €4
  • Taxi: €0.80 per km. For example from Podgorica to Budva (app. 63km) : €35
  • Parking lots: €0.50–80 per hour
  • Fuel: diesel: app. €1.29 per l, LPG: €0.65
  • Visits to private doctors: paediatrician: €15, gynaecologist: €40
