Costs of living in Albania
The Republic of Albania is becoming more and more popular among European citizens. And it is not only because of lower living standards, but also thanks to numerous job offers and commercial outlets. Even though salaries are lower compared to the European ones, so are the costs of living in Albania.
Some examples:
- 50 cents for one kilogram of apples;
- approximately 150 euros for a monthly rent for a 100 square meters apartment;
- 7 euros for basic dental care;
- electricity almost free of charge.
The above-mentioned examples can make you understand why numerous Europeans choose to move to Albania. The economic crisis of past years has eroded the buying power and in future more and more people will be faced with similar decisions. On the other hand, the Albania has a pleasant climate, minimum tax rates, exquisite cuisine, well developed tourism and low costs of living.
In case you are interested in buying a house in Albania, you should keep in mind that the country is still in process of development, which also applies to the prices of real estates.
The final question therefore is: Is it worth to move to Albania?
Absolutely, and not only for the low costs of living, but the country also offers a great opportunity for those who would like to start their own business or take over an existing one. Albania is a perfect place to start a new adventure in life.
